all the things money can't buy

A good friend of mine was reading my post and came to the following conclusion: when a father and daughter have a more meaningful relationship, where he’s a constant in her life, the daughter may be much more successful in her adult relationships. Most times when a woman has an ongoing, happy relationship with her father, she exudes more confidence when dealing with other men. Many times the very first male-female relationship a woman has is with her father, so the bond or lack thereof, has the power to affect her throughout the rest of her remaining relationships with the opposite sex.
I’ve never thought about this so intimately; I can only go off of her feelings and personal experiences. It makes me wonder if this theory is true for others. In my opinion, she’s turned into a beautiful young lady, but when it comes to her relationships with men, she does exhibit many of the same issues that most women in similar situations have: She settles for less, when she’s clearly worthy of so much more.
When I was 15 my father moved to Belize. I was really hurt because my dad and I shared a very close and special relationship. As I look back during his absence, although it was for a short period, things in my life at that time changed and took a different direction. I know everything happens for a specific reason, but as I reflect on my situation, it really makes me wonder how one small aspect of a person’s life can generate such a drastic change. The same situation can have a completely different effect or outcome in the lives of two different people.
Regardless of whether someone has a father or not, God is your father and he is always there to talk to so never forget that 😉
